Commercial Description:
The rhinoceros may not be the king of the jungle, but he commands respect nonetheless. Powerful and distinctive, Telegraph Rhinoceros pays homage to one of the world’s most majestic and endangered creatures. Brewed with a hefty dose of rye malt and balanced by a ridiculous amount of hops, our "rye wine" is truly a unique beast. Be careful... this rhino may seem mellow at first, but is known to charge unexpectedly!

Bottle 65 cl. Hazy amber golden with a rough, off-white head. Aroma of yeast, nuts and strong alcohol. Quite full-bodied with plenty of nuts and dried fruit with a little yeastiness. Distinct alcohol and phenols in the finish with a somewhat unrefined hopping. 110709

Bottle… Cloudy, dirty orange ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Good, fat-bubbled retention. Fruity, spicy rye aroma – a touch earthy and a little caramely, but the rye is truly the star of this show. Mega full-bodied and velvety with lively carbonation. The flavor is sweet and a touch tangy - also dry, grainy and spicy. Bittersweet, rye-dry finish. I could be wrong, but I think this may be my first rye wine? You never forget your first. I’ve now had wheat wine, oat wine and rye wine. What’s next, Sorghum wine? God, please, No! Kudos to Beerlando for sharing the bottle!

Bottle thanks to SamGamgee: Pours a transparent deep golden bronze with a frothy well-lacing off-white head. Aroma of lightly caramely sweet toasty caramel malts and a touch of light fruitiness. Starts with good fullness and rich toasty light caramel maltiness with some fresh strawberry and light fruity complexity before a drier, more bitter and warming finish. Needs a little more flavor hoppiness with some sweeter malty balance.
