Glowing embers??? Not quite. Pours brown with a thin tan head. Smells sweet with some hints of caramel and earth. Tastes roasty with some caramel sweetness and an earthy finish.

Cask conditioned at Charlies. Deep amber, reddish colour with a very small off white head. Vague roasted malty and fruity aroma with notes of caramel and nuts. Light malty sweet flavor with fruity and hoppy notes. Light dry and bland finish.

Bottle conditioned, 500ml. Mahogany with cream head. Full bodied Ale, strong roasted malt flavours with touches of drying caramel and not overly sweet for such a big, for the UK, beer. Alcohol on the finish with bitterness, a reasonable BCA for an English Micro.
