Deep brown with a big head, almost belgian...tall, thick frothy with a light brown colour. Very nice and inviting aroma of cigar, dark deep malt, chocoalte with a touch of smoke. Big malty flavour of toffee, figs, butter and smoke. Long, smooth, malty aftertaste of toffee and smoke. Very nice Winter Warmer!

Very good dark, ruby and red beer with a head to desire. The aroma is light and malty with a strong alcohol and bitter flavour. Overall a good strong beer.

Bottled. Chestnut brown. Sweet and clean. Mild and syrupy, warming but bold with very low hop rate, but some herbal, medicinal bitterness.

Bottle Conditioned. Deep ruby red, low head and moderate condition. Roasted malt aroma with hints of smoke that become more obvious in the mouth. Stays malty in the finish but with a bitterness developing.

Dark with hints of red. This is a fruity, juicy malty beer with burn’t toffee with warming alcohol. The Xmas pudding like complexity make this a good Winter brew.
