This just seemed overall a run-of-the-mill barleywine. Good, some molasses and honey, a little fruit, some hops, but nothing amazingly good or amazingly bad. That said, the score shoudl indicate my love of barleywines.

dark hazy copper tinted brown pour with a small tannish off white head. very fruity aroma... red apples, orange, blossoms, brown sugar, malt, grass, pine and earthy spice. the palate is malty rich and fruity sweet though quite dry from hops and slight alcohol. it shares the same characteristics as the aroma combined with chocolate and a dry finish. medium bodied with a nice richness though lightened enough by hops and abv% to be dangerous! 7/4/7/4/15/3.7

Draught sample at the brewery. Pours light brown with an off white head. Smells nutty with some citrussy hop notes. Tastes of caramel, nutty, earthy, bitter, some sweet citrus, dark fruit. An easy drinker.

Cloudy brown pour with creamy tan head and lace. Citrus, with a malt booster. Large citrus, brown sugar, and nice bitter finish. Full bodied nice carbonation. A beer that could lead to the IIPA/BW debate but very good.

on tap-pours an off white head that laces and cloudy orange/brown color. Aroma is pine/some citrus, secondary medium malt. Taste is pine/some citrus-orange, secondary sweet medium malt-brown sugar.
