Commercial Description:
Brewed using Pale, Caramel, Chocolate, Roast, Victory and Black Malts we obtained a beautifully massive black beer with an off-white head. With a thick, stick to your tongue body and espresso and mocha flavors, this Imperial Stout is surprisingly easy drinking. The body is balanced with a malty sweet finish and high amount of bitterness obtained from Magnum Hops.

Black color, brown creamy head. The aroma shows some coffee, cardboard, fish. Good body strength, the mouthfeel is smooth enough, it has a strong roasted malt flavor, luckily with also a small sweetness to make it more drinkable, correct bitterness. The roasted malt leads in the final. Good.

Very dark color. Aroma seemed to have a little coffee almost, but nothing of coffee in the flavor. Strong, but not particularly tasty. Not roasty, just has a bit too much of an alcohol bite. Very little head. Overall, not impressed.

2007 PP Strong Ale Fest: Poured black with a tan head. Milk chocolate aroma and flavor. Bitter hop and roasted finish. Some mild fruitiness. Medium body and decent warmth.

Consumed on draft at brewery, 12/30/07. Very dark brown with a thin ring of foam. Oddly, no aroma I could detect. Creamy mouthfeel. Bitter, roasted chocolate and smooth coffee. No alcohol burn or taste. Lightly bitter finish. Not as big as I expected from an imperial stout, but certainly not bad at all.
