Thin clear brown color. Roasted caramel hints in the aroma. Nutty flavor. Actually fairly decent. Thin and watery palate. One of their better brews, decent and easy to drink.

Medium brown to dark amber colored pour. Smell was nicely toasty cocoa, some coffe and malt. Taste was of watered down sticky malt sweetness. Thin body, with a nice cocoa nuttiness and coffee notes to it. Would be pretty nice with more body.

On tap @ Tenaya Creek poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, cocoa and a hint of nuts. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of tootsie roll and toasted malt with a bittersweet finish.

Brown color. Light caramel aroma. Soft taste, a lot of caramel, and nothing else.

This is really a pretty solid nut brown, probably because it isn’t as nutty as most of them. Also doesn’t get too malty like an amber. Definitely above average for the style.

Only an average brown ale, rather like newcastle with a few subtle differences. Still acceptable however.

Clear chestnut. Lively carb. Sweet base with a caramel blast. Kind of toasty and just a little woody. Had a slight hint of sourness, too. Healthy bitterness. That all sounds good and all, but the combo didn’t really work for me.
