Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Aug 13, 2006 Draft pint at the brewpub 8/9/06: Served too cold in an iced glass, for one thing. Had to let it warm up ... Nice black look, but maybe a bit thinly headed for a stout, but it’s firm. Light smoky choco character that firmed up quite a bit as it warmed. Almost a bit of wood chippiness. Decent stout. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA May 3, 2006 Smells and looks like a good oatmeal stout. Not too heavy w/a faint nut flavor that is quickly covered by the hops. Malt and sweetness at the beginning and end. A nice beer from a style I love. argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Oct 23, 2004 Brown-black body with tan head. Aroma is light, roasty, some coffee. Taste is medium sweet, roasty, some coffee, finishes mildly roasty bitter. Watery light-medium body. jazz88 (2235), San Francisco, California, USA Jul 28, 2003 Tap @ Reno Festival. Black color with a light brown head, creamy, roasted, malty, full body, chocolate, and a biter touch to the finish. BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Jun 16, 2003 NABA Beer Fest 03: A decent oatmeal stout, no where near at complex as Samuel Smith's version. It has all the required tastes with nothing special and nothing deterant.
