Dusty grain nose with light orange citrus in the background. The body seemed a little light with too much water in the initial taste. Grainy malt flavors and orange rind bitterness give way to a grassy, raw hop pellet finish. Drinkable, but not very interesting. Thanks to MMM...Beer for this Nevada beer. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2004 Clear and medium amber; OK head; pretty nice lace left behind. Moderate sweetness and bitterness -- neither were over-the-top. Nice carbonation level. Sweet malt base was filled with caramel and a touch of roast, but it was mild. Hop notes of flowers and a little grass. It might’ve even had a little smoke, but it could’ve been my mind playing tricks. Overall, it was an OK IPA, but not too exciting. argo0 (7027), Washington DC, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 12, 2004 on tap at brewpub: i used to drink the pale ale , but this has now replaced it. and i guess by the taste this fits better in the pale ale range then IPA. once again served in a fronzen glass, blasted! slight nose of hops here. after tasting it you should be able to smell hops across the bar, not that it was that big but they are dominant. not really an IPA. too thin with not enough bitterness. easy to drink with little character. one of the better beers i had that night. good session. made for the masses not for a beer drinker looking for something a little special. | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jan 21, 2003 Apparently they're not making their Pale Ale anymore, but they do have this great IPA. Perfect dark roasty red color with staying head. Exceptionally smooth with slight hoppy finish. Very good.
