fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Apr 14, 2006 Draught at the brewpub Dark brown color. Malty aroma, a bit fruity. Reasonable malty body, good hopping, too much caramel, light roasted malt. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Mar 20, 2006 Just called regular old Barleywine at the brewery, this was a little disappointing. Not that strong in flavor, though the alcohol isn’t noticeable. Hops in the front of the mouth but just blah. elektrogeist (158), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Mar 1, 2005 One of the better barleywines I’ve had at a microbrewery here, intense chocolatey cinnamon like flavors with fairly well balanced hoppiness. This winter’s came in around 9.6%.. very intense so you’ll want to be careful how much you drink. Only negative I can think of is that they have none left now, I drank it all ;) bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA May 10, 2004 on tap barleys beer festival III: this was a pleasant surprise. i have had many of tenaya creeks beers and thought they were only average. this is the best of the lot. nice hopped up barley wine. a little flat on the palate, not over the top but average and good. i believe its around 9% abv. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Feb 1, 2004 Amber-red with a thin head and a sweet aroma. Powerful malt-sugar, with predominate tones of cooked brown sugar. Stark and sweet. MMM...Beer (385), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Dec 14, 2003 Probably my favorite of Tenaya's line. Nice deep red color with nutmeg on the nose and light molasses on the palate finishing with a nice hoppy kick. A really nice, light Barley Wine.
