The aroma contains some perfume, pine, caramel, grapefruit, and lemons. The flavor is well balanced with the malt but also very bitter. I taste some caramel as well as orange peels, grapefruit, and lemons. The finish leaves a lingering bitterness on your tongue. Overall a very well done IIPA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 30, 2009 On tap at brewpub. Poured a hazy copper with white head. Aroma of big citrus, big resinous pine, and some mild sweet malt. Citrus aroma is heavy lemon and som grapefruit. Taste is also very citrus fruity, with some nice malt backing. Finish is bitter and nice. Body is medium and the mouth has an average carbonation. Overall, a very nice IPA. NachlamSie (1641), Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Nov 13, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy, cloudy copper with a great white head. The aroma is awesome. Lots of straight up PNW dank stank is goin’ on. We got grapefruit, pine, mostly citrus leaning hops. Very fresh, very defined. The mouthfeel is medium with heavy emphasis on hops. Malts just play a filler role, barely providing some sweetness or body to showcase the bitter onslaught tantalizing my palate. The finish is dry and dank with hints at lemons, grapefruit and grass. IIPA? no. Neither the alcohol nor the volume in body is present. This is a powerfully hoppy IPA and gets plenty of praise from me as such. If it wasn’t for damned Yazoo, this would be my favorite IPA from Tennessee. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 11, 2009 Draft at brewpub. Hazy orange in the glass with a creamy off-white head that left good lace. Aromas of pine hops with a caramel backing. The flavor found orange peel, pine, caramel, and hints of earthiness. Medium body and medium bitterness throughout. Butters (1652), Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 24, 2009 Sampled from downstairs at the brewery. Thanks Steve! Hazy golden color is reminiscent of a wheat beer with decent fish eye white head. Nose is just a wonderful blend of herbal and citrusy fresh hops without bowling you over. Flavor is much the same with just the right amount of noble hops to balance out the west coast stuff. This might be my favorite of the brews from these guys so far, and may be one of the best pale ales i’ve ever had! decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 18, 2009 An orange pour with a slightly off white head and lace. Nice aroma of grapefruit and evergreen. A rich sweet caramel maltiness with a very nice finishing bitter and a bit of earthy undertones. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. lithy (1725), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 28, 2009 Dark orange-red, thin off white foam. Aroma is spice, pine, light citrus fruitiness, but mostly heavy resin. Taste is just pure pine resin, spicy, some crystal malt backbone but just a bitter piney DIPA. I prefer their standard IPA. sebletitje (1925), Tampa, Florida, USA
