Commercial Description:
A blond summer ale whose name refers to the use of elderflowers in its production - the flowers are always planted in little terracotta pots. Although, it could also refer to our infamous concert hall in Bruges: the terracotta roof tiles are always falling off that... The beer has a fruity blossomy fragrance and a slightly acidic cider-like component to the taste.

Pale golden yellow with a small white head. Fruit, herbal, lactic and a very high acidity. Might be infected.. Hhhmmmm....

Hazy blond body. White, creamy head. Hoppy aroma. Lightly bitter flavour and one dimensional. Not bad, but lacks compelxity.

33cl bottle from Bier Tempel Brussels, Belgium. Poured pineapple juice yellow with little head. Little aroma. Slight apple and yeast. After having the Vuuve last night I expected this to be similar and it is. Still had that chemical taste although not as strong as the Vuuve. Light grapefruit sourness and slight funk. Decent.

[bottled]. Murky yellow body, thin white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma (grapes) with flowers and perfume. Malt profile is rather low with a strong citric character (grapefruit) and a tarty finish. Moderately yeasty (dough). Rather weak bittersweet aftertaste. Body is low to medium. A nice and refreshing blonde ale that tastes like it still has to build some character.Right now it’s neither as bold and intriguing as an Orval, nor as complex and fascinating as a De Dolle. Nice spring brew anyway, even if a bit strong at 7% ABV.

Bottle. Quite apricoty/peachy fruit flavours, with some citrusy acidity. Slight sugary fizz, with some yeastyness towards the finish. Odd plastic flavour, which was my main criticisim, but not that bad in the end.

Bottle. Hazy yellow coloured with a medium sized white head. Aroma of fruits with notes of spices and hops. Fruity flavour with notes of elderflowers and hops. More hoppy than the usual belgian blonde’s.

Big white head; hazy orange body. Powerful aroma of lemon, coriander, yeast and paradise seeds and notes of bread. Soft, grainy taste of lemon and wheat with yeasty notes. Watery aftertaste. Quite good, but a bit light.
