Commercial Description:
Help us celebrate American Independence and American Beer Month in July with the release of the Terrapin All-American Imperial Pilsner. This beer was brewed using only American malts, American hops, and American yeast. Who says you have to import ingredients from Germany to make a true Pilsner? Of course, this Pilsner is made "Terrapin Style". Hence the 75 B.U.’s, the 8% alcohol and the term "IMPERIAL Pilsner". Malt: 2-Row Pale Malt, Carapils Malt. Hops: Warrior, Mt. Hood, Santiam, Liberty, American Saaz (Dry Hop). O.G. 18.5 F.G. 4.5 B.U.’S 75 A.B.V. 8%

Big thanks to dchlema for this treat. Nice arome of sweet caramel malts and some spicy hops. A little cloying. Pours amber with a light, minimal head. Sweet, strong present right up front and dominate early, eventually leading to a clean, spiced hop finish. An unusual beer. Starts like a DIPA, finishes like a pilsner. Tastes good though!

12oz Bottle - Florida Trip ABC Store.
Aroma – Nice malt and hops aroma with some spices lingering.
Appearance – Golden in color, light head and clear.
Flavor – Big Pilsener flavor as for an Imperial not sure I can go that far. Strong flavors with some nice spices added.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, decent texture with a nice dry finish.
Overall – This was a fun beer ti try and the flavors where intense. I liked the high alcohol in this beer.

Bottle, thanks to unclemattie. Pours a cloudy gold, white head, very nice retention. Aroma of malt and slight fruit notes. Flavor of malt, sweet, very nice, and alcohol is slightly detectable, blends in very nicely....Hops are actually not very detectable except for very well blended bitter in the end. Full bodied, medium carbonation....I liked this one! Nicely balanced beer...

Draft at the grand opening of the new brewery. Pours a hazy, faint gold color. Thin, white head. Aroma of wet hay. Sweet, floral flavor. Peppery finish.

Thanks xnoxhatex! [07 bottle] Pours a sunburnt orange/amber, syrupy looking. Oxidized sweet malty and grape aroma. Malt forward flavor, the hops come off salty. Some peach, honey, and brandy as well. Not at all what I expect from a Imp. Pils. Bright palate, fizzy.

12 oz bottle from ’07 vintage. Clear light golden with small white head. Slight doughy, toffee, slight citrus, very oxidized. Dough, slight aged alc, dough, slight citrus, slight bitterness, a little sweet vanilla and grainess as well. Medium-thin body with slight creaminess. Nice, not overly oxidized but I would like to try this fresh.

Hazy golden-amber. Chewy, oxidized nose with a berryish, apricotty fruitiness. Rounded bitterness, some really cloying doughy malts. Long, bittersweet finish in which the flavours don’t really even come together. Moreover, the hops aren’t terribly bright either.
