A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is super hoppy combined with ligth notes of caramel, while the flavor is sweet with strong notes of both caramel and hops. A nice hoppy monster.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, orangey brown with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and aroma hops. Full-bodied with lots of caramel and aroma hops. No overwhelming bitterness in the end. 220406

Bottled, thanks Immy! Clear dark amber, rich dense head. Hoppy estery pineapple and grapefruit aroma. Sweet and caramelly with near full body. The hops hide in a sea of spun sugar and caramel. More hop aroma than bitterness in the finish.

Vintage: 2005
Appearance: clear dark red, thin tan head, nice drippy lace
Aroma: huge sweet carmel malt aroma with strong earthy hops
Flavor: strong hop flavor and bitterness, almost balanced by the big malt backbone, great hops and great malt, but just not my perferred hop varieties

Aroma: the 2005 has the rich carmel malt aroma with strong earthy hops, the 2006 aroma is much lighter in both malt and hops
Flavor: 2006 has nice balanced carmel malt flavor with the hops, even though oxidized the 2005 still has a stronger earthy hop flavor and a bit more sweetness where the 2006 is quite dry, body on the 2006 might be a bit thinner as well, overall I prefer the 2006 because of the toned down hop flavor

Reddish-brown colour with a rich head. Aroma is big mandarin hops with cedar and floral soaps and woody malt notes. Well-balanced. I like when that’s the first thing I notice. The hops are largely aromatic as the beer comes across fairly sweet. Orangey, floral hops drench the beer but never does it get resiny. One of the more refreshing beers in the upper mid-strength category. An interesting take on a concept that has thankfully proven to be fairly open-ended. Thanks to aracauna for the bottle!

(12oz bottle, 2005 vintage, thanks jasonp) Clear amber body topped by small beige head, nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, pine, caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, floral, chocolate, some caramel. Medium-full body, light stickiness. Well-balanced beer -- delicious!

Bottle at Kookfest 06. Russet/amber with lasting beige head. Unsurprisingly hoppy. Some decent sweetish malt. Smells cheesy and of hop oil. But then sweetish malts. Very intense. Too sweet.
