Not really sure what to say about this beer. Don’t have much experience with cream ales, but this one doesn’t make me want to explore too much. Lagery, with some grainy tastes and some metallic notes. Okay. Definitely the least interesting Terrapin brew. goozen (1102), Leiden, Netherlands

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Apr 25, 2008 Bottle from Utobeer. Paleish gold, very thin white head. Smells like a lager, it’s a bit dusty on finish. Not sure it’s a cream ale, bit of cardboard throughout. Some pilsner hops. Quite bitter on finish. Yep, just a little ugly, bit metallic. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 24, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Dchmela! Slightly hazed gold pour with a frothy but short lived white head. The nose is of hay/straw and pale malts with a bit of hops and lemon. Pretty simple. The flavour profile is better than the aroma, with straw and sweet grains, with a doughy, biscuit component, leading to a nice bite of hops towards the finish. Chalky and dry in the end. A good summer quaffer if nothing else. Thanks for the bottle again Dave! You da man! Svesse (2683), Hässelby, Sweden

Fruity nose with notes of floral hops and tropical fruit. Slightly malty taste with fruity notes of lemon, tropical fruit, pineapple and a short finish with floral hops. Rather dry, making this light bodied brew quite drinkable. A decent thirst quencher, but hardly rocks my world. MesandSim (5955), London, Greater London, England
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Updated: Apr 16, 2008A Mes rate: Bottle from Utobeer, BIG thanks to Reakt. BIG thanks??? Does this really qualify for upper case thanks? I should coco it does as this is the beer (bag of shite it may be) that finally crosses cream ale off my style list and so gives me a full house. Sim called it, it looks like a lager with oil in it. It’s a boarderline 1 in all honesty. Wheat and straw aroma, Flavour is ok until the finish where it becomes really oilly and fatty and pretty close to awful. What the hell style is this? A blend of top and bottom fermented beer? A blend of sweaty bra and knickers more like. Still, my hat comes off to Terrapin for making this erm... beer and finishing off the styles for me. Thanks to Ang for noticing and bringing it over. Thanks to ratebeer for being here in the first place, thanks to my Mum and Dad for bringing me up to appreciate the finer points in life and so I don’t grow up thinking Carling Cold is what I need to drink (and for giving me OCD!), thanks to Man U for beating the evil French team today, thanks to God for... wait a minute, I don’t believe in God. Ok God can bugger off, thanks to everyone else. I thank you.
:) :) :)
