“With its golden hue and gentle complexity, the Terrapin Golden Ale brings refreshing to a whole new level. Its combination of flavor, smoothness and drinkability is difficult to find in most craft beers. Sometimes even hopheads like us want nothing more than to enjoy a beer that is crisp, smooth and refreshing. That is why we created the perfect session beer - the Terrapin Golden Ale.”

Pours a golden/copper color. Small white head. Sweet nose with some fruit/citrus and malt. Taste is of sweet malt and light hop. Mouthfeel is medium, with an average amount of carbonation. Not their strongest showing.

Not awesome, but a mild beer. Had a bone-white head with lackadaisical carbonation. Tastes of malt and not much else except a bit of yeast. Medium mouthfeel, but lighter on taste.

Bottle. Pours a copper color with a smallish white head. Aroma caramel, light fruit. Flavor is caramel malts, light citrus. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished somewhat sweet. Nothing special.

Bottled. Not good. Clear golden, bronze colour with a white head that dissolves into a mold spot. Almost no aroma except slight dusty hops and cardboard. Flavour was slight citrus and hop with a flat metallic finish.

Very disappointing. Smells great and looks great with a small almost non existant head. Minimal hoppy bite to start, and odd choice with this sort of ale. Remains fairly bitter throughout with a strong malt finish. Alot of carbonation. There really isn’t much complexity here aside from a light citrus note. Not very well balanced either.

12oz bottle. Light golden transparent color. Brewery malt aroma. Smooth and creamy, very refreshing. Has a faint balancing hop taste way off in the background. Good for what it is, a clean, fresh session ale.

Bottle courtesy of Unclemattie: Poured a golden color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and medium lacing. Aroma of sweet malt is dominant and somewhat enjoyable. Taste is a mix between sweet malt with some grassy notes. Overall, I thought this was well done but not very complex – a good session brew.
