Commercial Description:
“With its golden hue and gentle complexity, the Terrapin Golden Ale brings refreshing to a whole new level. Its combination of flavor, smoothness and drinkability is difficult to find in most craft beers. Sometimes even hopheads like us want nothing more than to enjoy a beer that is crisp, smooth and refreshing. That is why we created the perfect session beer - the Terrapin Golden Ale.”

Weak. For a session beer or not. Take it over a bud light, yes. But it was boring, bland, plain. Pour was light gold, not so much like the picture with a small white head. Aroma was of corn, light hop, even lighter malt. Flavor was just light in general. A hint of hop a mite of malt.

This ale parallels the description of a pale ale — mild, light bodied, low hop flavor. On the other hand, this particular ale is so filled with canned corn flavor that it is not enjoyable. Light godlen pour with a quickly diminishing white head. Mild aroma, but what is there is sweet malt with only the slightest hint of hops and grass. And then there is the canned corn smell and flavor. Watery texture.

Honestly, it’s just way to light. Overall, is an OK beer. I just don’t think I will be drinking this beer again.

From bottle : Pours a hazy light gold color with small diminishing white head that leaves a small white ring aroud the edge. Aroma is corn and grainy. It has a weird flavor, with grain and corn and rice..?.. and some fruit maybe, i dont like it whatever it is. Pretty light bodied and goes down smooth, would be pretty drinkable if not for me hating that taste.

Best by 10/23/07. The beer pours to an effervescent pale golden body with a thin white head. The aroma is very perfume laden. Green peppers. The flavor is green peppers with perfume hops. Light refreshing body.

Thanks to Blake for bringing the bottle, BB 10/23/07. Poured clear bright golden with dusting of white head with a short cap of white head sticking around. The aroma picked up perfumey, floral, with some caramel and corny sweetness.. a bit artificial, but pleasant enough. The flavor had sweet corn, green pepper, and lighter fruits with floral and mild herbal bitterness.. again sweet and pleasant. Lighter-bodied with decent balance.. sweet and pleasant overall with a bit of a floral bitter finish. Not bad.

Slightly hazy golden yellow body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel and grainy malt aroma. Sweet grainy flavor, somewhat bready.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden yellow with slight haze and a tight white head. The aroma is rather corny, with a few floral notes. The flavor has a slight hoppy bitterness at first, then mellow corny malt. There is a faint floral touch in the finish. Not bad, considering.
