Commercial Description:
“With its golden hue and gentle complexity, the Terrapin Golden Ale brings refreshing to a whole new level. Its combination of flavor, smoothness and drinkability is difficult to find in most craft beers. Sometimes even hopheads like us want nothing more than to enjoy a beer that is crisp, smooth and refreshing. That is why we created the perfect session beer - the Terrapin Golden Ale.”

Bottle. Looks similar to a Budweiser in color with a white creamy head. Mild nose with a hint of corn. There’s some ok grainy flavors, a touch of skunk, and even some alcohol. It’s got more going on than man cream ales, but it’s nothing to write home about. At least it goes down pretty smooth.

12oz bottle -- clear golden body with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, grass, and pepper. Flavor of malt, mild hops -- tastes slightly skunky to me. -------- this on draft as "Chug Monkey" at 5 Season brewery and rated it favorably. So I’ve averaged my ratings until I try again for the tie-breaker.

Bottle and draft. Attractive golden color with a quickly disspating white head. Aromas of malt with light fruitiness. Flavor of dry malt and a slight hop presence. Fairly drinkable.

Had this on draught at the Emerald Coast Brew Fest in Pensacola, FL and then later in bottle. Poured nice golden color with decent head that disipated fairly quickly. Aroma is a bit fruity though not real strong. Taste has some light citrus flavors and malt, but is not very strong. Decent warm weather beer, but not anywhere near the quality of their Rye Ale.

Cereal aromas, grainy and sweet. Pours a slightly cloudy blonde with a thin white head that dissipates. Smooth flavor, fruity yet dry, malty, honey, some apple, even some white raisons. Good flavor,.

Probably one of the strangest beers I’ve had in while. I could not figure it out, in a bad way.

Hazy golden appearance with a small white head. Flavor is of straw with a little cream vanilla with in. Pretty bland, but unoffensive.
