Commercial Description:
“With its golden hue and gentle complexity, the Terrapin Golden Ale brings refreshing to a whole new level. Its combination of flavor, smoothness and drinkability is difficult to find in most craft beers. Sometimes even hopheads like us want nothing more than to enjoy a beer that is crisp, smooth and refreshing. That is why we created the perfect session beer - the Terrapin Golden Ale.”

Poured fromk bottle....golden in color, good carbonation but zero head. Not much on the aroma side...just out of reach. This is very light boddied....refreshing but nothing special. Terripin Golden Ale is a good beer. This is one of those beers that is good in quantity on a hop summers day.

This golden/blond ale pours a light gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, and a touch bready. A medium to light bodied golden ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, touch bready. Hops are spicy. Kind of sweet and a little grassy. Light and refreshing. A touch thin and perhaps a little watery. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Tastes and goes down like a standard lager, just a bit more hoppy . Head sticks around for a bit, but I wouldn’t call it creamy.

Pours a semi-clear unfiltered light golden color with a medium white head. Aroma of rye, wheat and faint hops. Taste is bland hops with hints of rye and wheat. Lageresque taste.

Mild hop aroma with some muskiness. Golden colour with white head; nice enough but nothing exciting. The flavour is very light with some fruity notes and barely noticeable hop content. Uninteresting mouth-feel. An exceptionally boring beer.

Pours a light golden color with a white head. Aroma of light hops and sweet malt. Very light aroma. Taste was much of the same. A very light tasting beer. Surprising that its 5%.

Very low intensity aroma that holds some vague sweetness and a suggestion of vanilla. The body is a cloudy yellow...it actually looks very much like a WIt. The head is fairly lasting, but bubbly and wispy and only about a pinky thick. Watery tasting fore seques into ever so slightly toasted malt and steeped sweet grains. Very low hop presence. Cereal tasting finish. Easy drinking as all get out, but I wouldn’t be upset with a little more flavor concentration.

12oz bottle served in a stem glass. Pours a golden, pale lager looking body with a sudsy, medium sized white head. Aromas is very mild, with corn and some malt/hop notes present. Palate is thin, slightly biting and a bit watery. Flavor is sweet malts, finishing with a clean end. Nothing remarkable, but at the same time nothing offensive, which is just as important to me. Very easy to drink and would be a great session/summer brew.
