Aroma is herbal, grassy hops, sweet corn with butter, citrusy hops. Terrapin does for cream ale with this what Victory does for pilsner with Prima Pils. Excellent rendition, very aromatic and extremely quaffable. Palate is very smooth, light body, very quenching, imminently drinkable. Carbonation level is on the low side, which I prefer in this style of beer. Flavor is similar to the aroma, more focused on the earthy hoppiness and less sweetness than in the aroma. Finish is light and soft with a slight sting from the hops. Very nice cream ale. marksahara (79), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Pours a clear golden yellow colour with a good finger or so of white crown. Good retention and decent moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet and slightly herbal, a little earthy too. Flavour is wonderfully sweet and malty, a little hint of citrus, and a small detection of hops. Finish is extremely smooth. Not too characteristic a beer, but very much a session or lawnmower beer for hanging out or laying back. Palate is thin with mild carbonation. Overall, a nice "light" beer, IMO, even if not unique, and one of my favourite session beers since I can get it all the time in ATL. hopdog (5609), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of honey, grains and grass. It also kinda reminds me of ginger ale - Vernors to be specific (I grew up with Vernors). Tastes of the same. Watered down Vernors. I should try mixing this with Ice Cream to see if it tastes like a Boston Cooler (God I really miss those too). Now I’m going to have to see who carries Vernors on the East Coast. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Thanks to jimbowood who sent be a couple bottles of the Terrapn Golden Ale, now I will! Thanks Jimbo! --
Pale yellow color with a slight haze and a small foamy white head. Moderately carbonated. Aroma is sweet, grassy, and slightly fruity. The flavor has some sweet malt, lemon, and a nicely done grassy hop bitterness. Very light on the palate. Not overly sweet or bitter and quite refreshing and different overall. A nice change of pace. This would be a good beer to enjoy during the Summer.

Bready, slightly yeasty nose with vague peripheral fruitiness and a little herby grassiness. Clear and pale piss yellow with a carbed white head. Tasted just does not exist. Thin veering toward watery. Feel and taste are a bit sickly. Touch of honey-citrus in with light creaminess. By no means offensive, but disappointingly boring! mbeem (104), New Hope, Alabama, USA

Guess they had to put out something to try to reach out to all the "yellow, fizzy water" beer guzzlers. Still, I’d take this over a Coors, Bud or any other macro. Clear golden color with a one-finger white head. Notes of citrus and light malt. Crisp, earthy flavor. A great companion with grilled burgers and dogs! footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
