Commercial Description:
“With its golden hue and gentle complexity, the Terrapin Golden Ale brings refreshing to a whole new level. Its combination of flavor, smoothness and drinkability is difficult to find in most craft beers. Sometimes even hopheads like us want nothing more than to enjoy a beer that is crisp, smooth and refreshing. That is why we created the perfect session beer - the Terrapin Golden Ale.”

Bottle. Pours clear light yellow with a moderate white head. Aroma is grassy and malty, with a hint of lemon. Flavor is the same, dominated by the grassy (and maybe rye-ish?) malt taste, with a bit of spiciness. A good summer session beer, and a step above most in that category.

(Brewed and bottled by Wild Goose Brewery Frederick, Maryland) Typical blond ale with a pleasant spicy hop profile. I guess this would make for a nice quencher on a hot Georgia day.

Thanks for the terrapin, unclemattie. Clear amber with a white head. Smells like lemon, grass, malts. Flavor is fairly simple, but refeshing.

Bottle - thanks to unclemattie. Pours a clear yellow color with a nice white head on top. This is my first cream ale. Aroma is mostly malty with hints of caramel, honey, and grains. Lemon and grassy notes are in there too. Flavor is pretty light, flavors of lemon, caramel, toffee, and hints of hops. Sure it isn’t a spectacular beer that everyone MUST try but it is definitely one that would be quite refreshing in the summer.

Bottle from unclemattie; Thanks Matt! My third Cream Ale; Nose of grain and a little caramel; clear gold with a small white head; flavor tastes like air popped popcorn without the butter, a unique grain flavor unlike any of the other 600+ beers I’ve rated.

12 oz bottle from TBC2, acquired to shut gputty up for storm kinging him on other Terrapins. Bless you, Matt, for the (relative) silence I now enjoy. Clear yellowy gold with a rocky white head. Soft fruit anf grain nose, light yeastiness. Light body and flavor, honeylike notes in the finish. Nice, but unspectacular. First Terrapin that did not impress me to some degree.

Bottled. Pale golden colour, small white head. Vegetables, hops and caramel in the nose. Flavour is quite watery, but has some hops, citrus and grassyness in it. Not too good...
