Commercial Description:
“With its golden hue and gentle complexity, the Terrapin Golden Ale brings refreshing to a whole new level. Its combination of flavor, smoothness and drinkability is difficult to find in most craft beers. Sometimes even hopheads like us want nothing more than to enjoy a beer that is crisp, smooth and refreshing. That is why we created the perfect session beer - the Terrapin Golden Ale.”

Bottled. Pale, a bit hazy yellow. Ryeish malty aroma, a bit fruity. Malty, ryeish, a bit fruity flavor too. Refreshing and fruity but not very exiciting.

[Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival] Clear golden. Evident rye bread. Medium dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel and some grassy bitterness. A refreshing, straight forward beer.

12 oz bottle via thebeercellar2 (thanks Matt!). Pours a crystal clear golden/blonde with a small white head that leaves no lace on the glass. Thousands of tiny bubbles rush to the surface. Not much aroma other than fresh bread. Taste is sweet molasses, then a bit of mild hoppiness, and a zesty peppery fizzy finish. A bit thin bodied and too carbonated but a decent sesson beer.

Draft sample Taco Mac SS - Not sure why I bothered, I guess I wanted to have all the Terrapins while in Atlanta. Aroma is malt with a touch of yeast and lemon. Pours clear yellow with small head and decent lacing. Flavor matches aroma. Creamy palate. A boring brew.

Pours gold in color with a tiny white head. Slightly sour hop aroma. Flavor is citrusy malt, some orange peel with a lightly bitter pecan husk hop finish. Lightly cabonated, smooth and vaguely oily mouthfeel ... somewhat thin. Not bad, but not exceptional.
