Commercial Description:
“With its golden hue and gentle complexity, the Terrapin Golden Ale brings refreshing to a whole new level. Its combination of flavor, smoothness and drinkability is difficult to find in most craft beers. Sometimes even hopheads like us want nothing more than to enjoy a beer that is crisp, smooth and refreshing. That is why we created the perfect session beer - the Terrapin Golden Ale.”

Light ale. Almost pilsner in taste. Crisp, but nothing exceptional. Lawnmower beer.

Aroma: Earthy, light fruit
Appearance: Slightly hazy golden color, this white head
Flavor: Some decent crisp spice, sweet, earthy malts
Palate: Light bodied
Overall Impression: A decent cream ale, not a whole lot going on here, but its pretty drinkable.

35cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, bb 02-2009. No ABV stated. Clear golden colour, creamy fluffy white head. Aroma of pine needles, solvent, some dirt, light caramel. Flavour is light sweet, some caramel, light hoppy, some sugar. Bitter finish. Subtle beer.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of glass, hint of fruit. Slight creamy taste, grassy finish. Light bodied. Meh

Not much smell, lovely clean golden colour. Light flavour that suits pairing with white fish, or drink on a hot and humid summer day and feel refreshed. Pleasant beer, just nothing much remarkable about it.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a trace of a white head. The aroma was lightly tart and fruity. The flavor was dryish, tart and vaguely fruity with a touch of bisquick underneath. The finish was short and tangy. Eh.

This is a pretty good beer, but there’s just not enough going on in it. It’s quite drinkable and pleasant though.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow color. Not much head. Aroma reminded me of Millier Lite. Taste made me wish it was a Miller Lite. Just okay but it really did seem like a light beer. Not what I expected. Kind of a weak offering from a pretty good brewery.
