Pours a clear gold with a tall, lasting, mostly white head.
Citrus hop aroma, not overpowering.
The flavor balance is towards the bitter side, slightly acidic.
I would like to taste more malt in the profile and a more distinct hop flavor than this one has. jhumphries69 (726), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours lightly cloudy orange-gold-brown with a thin white head that leaves gossamyr-thin wisps of lace on the glass. Aroma is hoppy with a pleasant undertone of evergreen. There are notes of raisin esters with hints of molasses/brown sugar and dry bready malts. The flavor is dry and bready malty with a strong everygreen pine needle hop character. There are subtle notes of honey towards mid-palate along with a big deep hop bitterness - floral, evergreen, touch of grapefruit. The finish is long and bitter with light crackery malt character. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a heavy frothiness - strong bubbles that complement the tingly, piney hops. Overall, a very nice American IPA. craftbeerdesign (752), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA

Solid bitter finish that is balanced very well with sweeter malts. A great new year round offering from Terrapin... this is one of their best. Great IPA. Looking forward to the six packs! | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Cask @ Classic City Cask Fest. Poured a hazy copper, with a nice white head. Good amount of carbonation for a cask. Aroma is a mix of citrus hops and sweet malt. The taste is similarly balanced. Balance is the main theme of this beer. The citrus hops are relatively subdued compared to other IPAs, not a bad thing, just different than most. Body on cask has soft carbonation and is easy to drink. Finish is lightly bitter. Overall, a solid IPA. jimbowood (953), Athens, Georgia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Draft at leons full service. This is terrapins best offering. Great use of hops. Much more floral and less bitter than their other hoppy brews. This one will be a classic. CheersMate1 (794), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 13, 2009 First one to rate?! 12 oz. bottle from a mixed pack. Transparent dark copper color. Not much of a head on this thing. The head fades away VERY quickly. Aroma is malty and citrus hop. The malts seem to come through more than the citrus hops, but things change as the beer warms. Faint fruit aroma as well. The hop aroma is refreshing. Wow, the flavor is pretty nice. There is this slightly sweet citrus "hop juice" flavor that my mouth is picking up. An extremely nice balance between the hops and the malts. That citrus hop flavor is very nice. Hop flavor sticks around; you have got to love those bittering hops. A very nice texture I must say, for an IPA. Hops were used very well with this beer. Fairly pleased with this offering from Terrapin.
