Aug 1, 2009 I like this beer alot. It has a sweet porter smell. It has a nice crisp IPA taste with a smokey porter bite.

Jul 28, 2009 Medium brown pour with a tan head. HUGE hop aroma. Big citrus and pine aromas with dark malts. Nice botterness with a good toffee and brown bread body. What a nice beer.

Jul 28, 2009 Dark brown-red with a soft light tan head. Aroma is spicy pine hops, soapy, citrus, sweet maltiness. Taste is caramel, chocolate, nice hop spice, pine and citrus finish.

Jul 25, 2009 Wonderful chestnut and thistle aroma, moderately strong for a brown ale. Clear brown medium yellow head, good lacing. Earthy and mossy witb a hop kick. Grapefruit is present. Bark and citrus zest finish. This may be my new favorite beer. Could use more complexity, but I’m nit picking. Fabulous piece of crafting!

Jul 18, 2009 Draft at Mellow Mushroom, Chattanooga.
Poured clear dark brown color with a large frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate toasted sweet flavor with a moderate sweet finish of medium duration.
Very good brew.

Jul 17, 2009 I wasn’t sure what to make of this. Nice aroma of citrus with a bit of roast malt. Flavor is hoppy with a malt balance. Not an IPA or a brown. Good though.

Jul 15, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown pour, little carbonation and a slightly malty and mild hop aroma. Flavor is very nutty, sweet malt, brown sugar and good strong bitter hops on the finish. Very good!
