Mar 5, 2009 Nice solid brown color with a thick but quickly disappearing tan head. Cocoa roast and nut aroma also with some citrus. I love how this beer is really hoppy as well as nice and roasty. Good chocolatey taste but could be a bit thicker. I also like the label a lot.

Mar 4, 2009 Draft @ Capone’s: Poured a brown color with a nice head. The aroma was roasted malts and hops. The flavor was a well balance brew between its hops and malts. The beer was very smooth and easy to drink.

Mar 2, 2009 Draft at the Nook. Brown in the glass with a tall creamy off-white head that is somewhat lasting and left good lace. Hoppy aroma with a nice malt backing. Slight hints of pine in the aroma. The flavor has nut and chocolate but also a nice hop background. Medium body with a hoppy aftertaste. Nice!

Mar 1, 2009 Bottle from Leaf and Wine Orlando. Pours out a moderate hue of brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is of citrus hops, roasted malts, caramel and some nutty notes. Taste is well balanced and pretty much spot on as to what the label describes it as. Roasted malts, grapefruit/citrus hops and some nice creaminess in there too.

Feb 28, 2009 My brain was perplexed by this beer. I like my brown ale to be malty and flavorful, with very little hop content. I like my IPAs to be super hoppy. When I finally disregarded what I was expecting from this beer I really enjoyed it.
The appearance was a dark brown. The aroma was mild and sweet. The flavor was hoppy and nutty with a hint of sour cherries. The palate was smooth yet pretty heavy carbonation. I would so have another.
