| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 21, 2008 An interesting mix of a traditional brown ale and an IPA. Poured to a reddish-brown with tan head, reminiscent of a brown ale, but the nose was roasted malted nuts and wood, infused with a hint of citrusy hops. Mouthfeel was medium bodied and alternated between slightly sweet and bitter. Taste was mostly the malty flavors, but with a slight aftertaste of citrus.
An interesting beer, but for my money, I’d rather have either a brown ale or IPA, not both at once. esjaygee (1578), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
