Commercial Description:
"India Style Brown Ale - 6% ABV. A head on collision of a hoppy, west coast IPA and a complex, malty brown ale...basically an IPA with a roasty backbone.”

Boring light with a slight brown sugar flavor. No malts stand out and the hops are muted. Dogfish Head did it way better. Sampled at the 2nd Annual Treasure Coast Beerfest in Ft. Pierce.

From a bottle at SB&WF 2009. Deep reddish brown, medium off-white head. Nutty and caramelly aroma with strong piney and citric hops. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry with a firm bitterness.

It poured a clear dark liquid with a small foam. Scent of grassy hops. It was smooth and had a taste of grassy hops.

Interesting brew. Reddish brown pour with thin white head. Earthy aroma with mild hop and brown sugar taste. Decent.

355ml bought at The Bières Sans Frontières section at GBBF 09.Deep and clear rosewood body colour. Small, yellowish head that left fragmental laceworks on the glass. Inviting aroma of hoppy fruits with a touch fruit-chocolate. Sweet toasted malt with chocolate notes offset by plenty of citric hops in flavour. Firm bitter aftertaste. Well integrated peace, love and hoppiness (Earls Court, hotel room 07.08.2009).

Reminiscent of winter seasonals. Must try again. Interesting, indeed. Now I’m going to have a Terrapin Rye, my favorite.

Bottle courtesy of Ksurkin. Aroma is strong of Cascade hops with the fruitiness of Centennial thrown in the background. Pours a deep brown with a thinnish tan head. Taste is again strong of Cascades....maybe a bit of chocolate, but damn little. thin mouthfeel, good carbonation. Good beer for drinking many of, but its not a notable beer.

Bottle. Pours brown with an inch of tan head - frothy & creamy looking. Bitter hops: pine, citrus, slight nuttiness in the nose. Flavor of hops, nuts, soap, and pine. Has a malt undertone. Hops definitely on top.
