| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 8, 2009 Pours a nice brown color with a lot of carbonation and fluffy tan head. Aroma is mostly floral, piney hops with a slight hint of chocolate and toast in the back. Malt hits you first with a little roast and light caramel and nuttiness, then the hops come at you with classic floral and pine and a nice bitter finish. Really quite a mouth full and a lot going on. leaparsons (4749), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Bottle. Mahogany brown with a beige foam. Aromas are chocolate and weetabix with floral, herbal notes. Quite earthy. Flavours are citrus, especially grapefruit. Very floral and fresh with some perfumed soap - in a good way. Very hoppy with grapefruit and pine on the finish. Good. RichardGretton (3152), Leicestershire, England

The aroma is gently roasted, and the flavour is bitter, and gently rich and roasted. Overall an average beer. Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA

Appearance: Deep brown color with amber highlights. Has a small, foamy, white head that is gone in seconds. No lacing to be had.
Aroma: Light caramel and chocolate notes. Some floral notes emerged as the beer warmed.
Taste: Decent hop and malt balance. Nuttiness on the malt end and pine from the hop end. A good bit of caramel in there too.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium-short finish.
Overall: A hoppy, but tasty brown ale.
Rebuy: I would be willing to have another of these. Sammy (4030), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 2, 2009 Bottle thanks Radek. Pours a dark brown body with a white bubbly head, and is lacey. Hoppy aroma is present. Complex malt profile, though licorice most noticeable. Creamy mouthfeel. A bit complex. Burnt caramel in finish. Good for the style. asheft (1437), Marburg, Germany

Strong pine and scotch tape hops aroma with a coffee note. Hazy, dark red-brown with a thin, tan cover. Complex flavour, dominated by pine and strawberry hops, with coffee and a little chocolate. Also a touch of honey and molasses. Medium body, medium carbonation, bitter coffee finish. Foxbush (460), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 30, 2009 This is an excellent India Brown Ale. I saved this for a dozen steamed crabs from Arnest. The spicy crabs were a good match with the Brown Ale. The hopped brown ale was an ale with some gusto, The acohol at 6 % was perfect. The color was a dark brown with a modest head. The ale finished nicely with no bitterness.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Poured a very dark caramel brown with orange highlights around the edge of the glass. There was good carbonation and some bubbles could be seen rising in the glass despite the dark color. The head was tall, foamy and light brown in color and left a good amount of lacing. The aroma was a good roasted sweet malty one with hints of toffee and light chocolate. The initial taste was on the lightly dry side. There was more roasted chocolate malt flavor in the taste and a good hop finish that also was on the slightly dry side. Tasted along the lines of an English Brown Ale. Very nice beer
