draft at barley’s in greenville. interesting brew. pours darker amber, almost brown with slight lacing. aroma is not quite as hoppy as a true IPA and is backed by roasted malt and brown sugar. flavor was interesting as well. big malt taste and sweetness up front with the hoppy bitterness following. palate was a little weak and the beer seemed to be lacking substance to go along with it’s unique taste.

Oct 2, 2008 Nice mahogany pour with some tan head. Aroma is malty. Hops come in the flavor. Rye bitter aftertaste is not enjoyable for me. I think I just must not care for rye too much.

Sep 28, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear reddish brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, burned caramel and good aroma hops. Medium body with notes of burned caramel, roasted malt and a distinct and dry aromatic bitterness. Excellent! 200908

Sep 28, 2008 Bottled@SBWF2008. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet hops, wood and some mild nectary notes. Flavour is very much the same. Rather sweet fruity and nectary aftertaste.

Sep 25, 2008 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Brownish amber, creamy head. Aroma of blood, metal and chocolate. Medium sweet with rough mushy mouthfeel. Above medium bodied with some molasses and a rough resiny bitterness.

Sep 22, 2008 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008. A red-brown beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of grass, caramel, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices and chocolate, leading to a dry nutty finish. The flavor is a bit light.
