Naven (868), Poway, California, USA Nov 20, 2009 22 oz bottle from Jimbo. I didn’t have high hopes for this one. Typically, this is not a style I really dig, but I found this one to be tasty. Super black pour, and a really nice looking tan head. Aroma is a full on coffee assault. Flavor is coffee, chocolate and some bitterness in the finish. Easy to drink, and very well balanced. Pretty damn good. EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA Nov 20, 2009 Bomber from my main man jrob21. I’m a sucker for these but hey, I’ve found my love. Big coffee nose, smooth rather than bold, with dark earthy tones and loads of chocolate. Luscious and, more importantly, dry. Pitch pour with a clingy, rocky, creamy light brown head. Taste an excellent melding of a light-bodied stout and smooth, crema-maintaining espresso. Very light fruity notes in the background, with a creamy feel and no obvious lactose until the aftertaste, though it’s prominent after establishing itself. Suitable for children and adults, has something for everyone. Not brutal, as I like, and not as complex as other examples, but a rich dessert in itself. Whipped out some oat nut and Humboldt Fog for this sucker and was not disappointed! glkaiser (1163), Seattle, Washington, USA Nov 19, 2009 22oz bottle. Black with light brown head. Heavenly espresso aroma. Taste is mixture of creamy chocolate, espresso and lightly sweet roated malt. Body is just a bit soda-like and thin. All the flavors are there. Very solid. LooseCannon (926), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Nov 18, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours black in color with brown head. Aroma strong coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Taste strong coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate and roasted malt with bitter finish. DJMonarch (6523), Northwich, Cheshire, England Nov 18, 2009 Updated: Nov 19, 20091. Big coffee roast aroma. Dark coloured strong in alcohol and very smooth on the palate with a creamy and slightly dry finish.

Big coffee aroma. Small beige head. Black and smooth on the palate with a little dryness in a full malt finish. neepsntatties (320), Portland, Oregon, USA Nov 17, 2009 Tried a bomber of this recently. Colour... black as night with no head. Nose... well..... coffee. And a smidge of cream thrown in as well. Palate... hmmmmm.... let’s see.... ummm...coffee! And again with a smidge of cream. notalush (2642), Denver, Colorado, USA Nov 17, 2009 Pours a dark brown, with an impressive tan head - aroma of burnt, stale-ass coffee, bitter chocolate, ashy character, vanilla sweetness - creamy mouthfeel, medium body - fairly one-dimensional flavor - day-old coffee and black malt bitterness, some tobacco/char/ashy flavor, and a bit of molasses sweetness - lingering old coffee taste - seriously over-rated. FlssmrBrewAlum (1109), Lisle, Illinois, USA Nov 17, 2009 22 oz bottle courtesy of Brewthusiast. Pours a pitchblack opaque pour, dark and ominous, with a big brown head, like coca cola esque, thick and lacing. Aromas are heavy espresso, a lovely roasted and coffee feel, a touch of cream, chocolate, as the heavenly coffee espresso feel is highly dominant, caramel, grounds, and tiramisu with that edge of sweetness, but still heavy coffee and light bitterness. Initial is lighter side of medium body, packing on very bitter and roasted coffee, straight espresso, touch of cream and sweetness, but roast dominant, bitter, some tiramisu and bitter chocolate help temper, but the roast, coffee, espresso back a punch, especially considering the lighter body! Head dies to a thick film that laces in layers still. This is very nice overall, especially on a body to flavor ratio. The lactose sweetness tempers the brew a bit, takes some of the edge out, and sticks in the aftertaste.. But largely the espresso and coffee beans take the dominant factor. This is exceptionally good.
