Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.

I’ve enjoyed several of these over the years. This is my first bottle since 2005. Crystal clear amber body is topped by an average sized eggshell head. Lots of sticky lace. Aroma of pink grapefruit, faint caramel, and spicy rye. Sticky mouthfeel with a spicy rye bite. Evenly balanced caramel malt and citrusy hop bitterness, edged with a rye twang. This is still one of my alltime favorites. Lovely American pale ale!

From the tap poured a light amber color with a small head. Hoppy flavor with a quick finish.

Bottle @ Atlanta airport just killing time. Average light creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Light cloudy amber color. Aroma was mild hoppy with notes of flower, grapefruit, flower and a hint of citrus. Over the palate came good sweet malty notes of caramel, grain and light toasted malt. Light to medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Well balanced sweet and bitter flavor. Light dry and bitter crisp hoppy finish.

Very good Apa. Great flavor and a brew I’m unfamiliar with in Georgia but I will consume more of in the future. Hoppy and malty with a nice finish. Another beer I would recommend.

From a 12 oz. bottle set to me from a friend back east. Aroma is a little hoppy with a slight hint of spice. Color is a honey amber with an off-white head. Flavor is clean and dry, bitter without being over the top. A little rye character in there. Balanced but not much malt in there. A descent pale ale without pushing the boundaries.

Pours an amber color with an off white head. Aroma was mild hops, grassy notes and sour rye. Flavor was smooth hop backbone controlled by hop notes and slight hints of rye. A pretty darn good pale ale.

Living in Athens, this has become one of my recent staples. Pours a nice amber color with a slight aroma of floral hops. Flavor is strong, the rye comes out before being overtaken by a strong, but not overpowering hop taste. Overall a very well-balanced beer.

TER RYE PALE ALE S6L3F2T4O7 Brown 12 oz bottle. Pop the lid and get a prominent milky grainy aroma. Weird near hop olfactory. Good creamy head pale yellow appearance. Comes across rather strong and on the alky side. Little carbonation. A little more bitter than APA. Probably should be in the specialty grains category. Medicinal grainy finish reminiscent of IPA hops but somehow not. Seems to be much stronger than the 5% listed here.
