Aug 2, 2008 Bottle. Amber pour with a thin, near-white head with good lacing. Clean, crisp, citrusy hops. Classic, crisp pale ale flavor. Extremely well-balanced with just enough bitterness. I wish the hops would linger a bit longer, but this is just a minor flaw. This is the first non-rice water beer I ever had in college and it continues to be one of my favorite go-to drinkin’ beers.

Aug 1, 2008 bottle thanks to thebeercellar. amber/orange pour with a very thin cream head. fresh hops and some citrus notes on the nose. heavy rye flavor with a finish of malts and slight hops. not bad at all.

Jul 28, 2008 This beer pours an amber color typical of Pale Ales. It has a piney/ citrusy aroma with some bitter malt smells as well. Flavor is malty with heavy pine. It finishes bitter, but balanced. A good pale.

Jul 26, 2008 Bottle. Amber colour with a small head. Refreshing grapefruit nose blending with good spicy rye. Spicy rye malts with a good bitterness. Not bad- but then I am quite fond of rye in beer, and cascade hops are always refreshing.

Jul 25, 2008 Bottle. Caramelly, sweet, refreshing hoppy aroma. Clear dark golden colour, small white head. There are also some caramel notes in a slightly sweet hop flavour. Nice, but could be better.

Jul 19, 2008 (Sample from July 18, 2008 Beer Club Meeting) Light gold/amber color. Hoppy and grainy aroma. Taste is much like a sweet/rye pale ale… oh, I suppose that’s what this is, isn’t it? Light body, comfortable aftertaste, light and crisp! Well done!

Jul 13, 2008 Bottle--Quality stuff, dark amber coloring with a medum head. The aroma was of medium strength hops. The flavor started with some brief malt taste with hops coming up quickly. The finish wasn’t bitter or sticky that is expected with hops. Produce Place 1.49

Jul 11, 2008 12oz bottle. pours clear orange-amber with a frothy, medium sized off-white head. Really enticing aroma, with earthy hops and rye. Flavor exhibits some sweet caramel malt up front, which is quickly joined by the rye and floral hops. Long, moderately bitter finish. Very drinkable pale ale; the rye adds a very nice dimension.
