Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.

Light reddish color. Good citrus aroma. Light head. Taste is hoppy - not overly so, but enough to know that this is a good pale ale.

I really like this beer. It really goes well with just about anything. Slightly reddish golden color. I prefer it on tap. It’s a very smooth drinkable beer that I could drink all night. The flowery grapefruit taste is refreshing. Not too bitter.

A pretty good Pale Ale but nothing spectacular. Copper color with a head that settles down quickly. Aroma is rather clean with some grapefruit hops, citrus fruits and maybe a touch of malt. The beer is easy drinking and refreshing. There’s some grapefruit hops in there with some flowery, citrus notes and it finishes slightly bitter. Some hops in the aftertaste. Pretty solid but nothing that jumps out and says wow. I just bought a 4 pack of the Rye Squared so I look forward to what this x 2 tastes like.

12 oz. bottle - thanks to gottalottaibu for the trade; pours hazy orange with huge head that takes quite a while to settle down; leaves some lacing a a big gob in the middle; aromas of wheat and slight hops; stale and bready; flavors are rich and smooth with nice balance; medium body; not overly exciting, but a great pale ale

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris_O’s Ha Ha Ha Ha Gimme the Cheese Tasting.
Dark gold with a thin white head and some good rich bubbles with a swill. Nice iodine notes with some decent grassy hops. Slight meaty and sour hints do it no favours but a reasonable drink all the same.

Clear orange-gold pour with a small white head. Earthy malt aroma with slight notes of orange and lemon. There’s also some pepper and pine scents in there too. Floral hop flavor with a hearty dose chewy malt and a dry, peppery pine finish. Medium body.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear orange amber with a small foamy white head. Aroma of bread, caramel, fruit, slight rye on warming and something that was odd that I couldn’t put my finger on...soap, wax, plastic. Whatever it was it wasn’t rye. Nice medium/full body with strong carbonation, palate was so full that it was almost chewy. flavor of toast, bread, rye and some underlying grapefruit hops. What’s up with all the turtles on the Terrapin labels anyway??

Bottle from Dehmela, thanks Dave! Sparkling clear amber topped with a thin white lining. The aromas are spicy rye and floral hops with bread crust and caramel. This is a full on hop attack in the mouth and I like it. Spicy, floral hops with sweet malts alongside vanilla, rye bread, and sugared grains. This is dry, chalky, and creamy all at the same time. I wish I could get this all the time. Thanks so much Dave ,for the bottle!
