Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

bottle thanks to bleeng. Tasted at Houston BA Tasting in October. Pours a clear amber with almost no head. Nose is of citrus. Taste is of orange peel. Mouthfeel has a good bitterness to it. Good pale ale.

Bottle courtesy of bleeng. Hazed orange pour. Chlorine odor right up front, however I found out later that the Houston water supply has a chemical smell to it so this may be to blame. Some lighter grain scents but soapy. Taste is even but has a bland feel. Dry finish.

Bottle, Rehills, Ncl. Bursts with fresh flowert hops, this is a fine amber to pale ale, with good bitterness and plenty of tingling carbonation. A touch of sweetness in the finish.

Pours an amber color with very little head. Has a little bit of citrus smell to it. The taste at first is citrus but then goes to a very bitter finish. Could be balanced better

Poured amber. Hoppy, floral, citrusy aroma. Clean, crisp flavor, with lots of citrus notes and a fine hoppy finish. Liking it more and more every day.

Aroma is a touch grassy, citrusy, not highly aromatic, very subdued... Slightly hazy amber with a thin white head and minimal retention... Slight hints of rye, not in your face, more bland malty than hoppy... Dry finish while somehow being oily... Decent beer, had me really wondering though...

very grassy aroma...smells a bit like a bale of hay with some caramel malt to it. honey colored with a boring thin white head. flavor is pretty hoppy...grassy with a mildly skunky pop. very dry with a grassy lingering finish. this is a serviceable beer and not that bad but i would explore other ryes before returning to this one.

Bottle. Pleasant musty hoppy aroma giving way to a bready yeastiness. Nice maltiness, good balance. Bit like an English pale ale for me.
