The aroma has sharp citrus – lime – tartness to it. Behind that a definite rye aroma can be detected. The flavor is just like the aroma with a citrus hop bitterness bite that steps boldly into a lime tartness. The hop bitterness lingers all the way through the taste. About midway malt sweetness and rye malt surface. The sweetness fades into the finish leaving the lemony citrus hop bitterness to linger there alone on the palate. kyzr (1123), Belgrade, Montana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2007 Copper color with average head. Nose is of hops with some grain. Nice and hoppy up front with a slight sweet fruity, malty medium body middle. Tad bitter cirturs hoppy finish. Rather nice. peridot (17), Alabama, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 13, 2007 Orange-golden colour with a slight haze and thin head. There’s a good, strong hop aroma. Medium body and citrus-hoppy tasting, but the rye presence is lacking a bit. sdalloway (2), USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 12, 2007 Copper color; Foggy not cloudy; small head, white; very small white head;
well balanced hop and floral aroma;
A little sweet but good balance with hops and malt; More of a floraly taste than citrus; complex; Medium Body; a well made beer; the hoppy ending is apparent; though this is my first rye beer so I still need to do some exploring; complex; but I can see how this beer is well liked.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 12, 2007 A touch of nice sourness may be this beers only important characteristic to make it slightly better than the average beer. Not much to say about the rest of its qualities. probstk (1044), Nepean, Ontario, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2007 Pours a copper with a thin creamy light amberish head. The aroma is sweet, you can smell the hop resin, pine/citrus hops, nice hop profile for a pale ale. Bitter taste, less than an IPA though. Nice solid taste, plenty of character, but leans toward a session brew. aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
