Thanks to Ana and Raymond and of course to my baby Lacey for the great food and good company. Nose of pine, citrus, & spice - smells very fresh. Pours a sparkling clear golden. The tall stiff creamy white head leaves fairly good lace. The brew has great balance in the front with moderate acidity, and a long spicy burnt bitterness at the finish. The medium body is soft, dry and feels mildly astringent at the finish. My first brew from GA I think, and I could have done alot worse.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Light amber color, aroma of hops and a little spice. Flavor is slighlty spicy and moderately hoppy, but the mouthfeel is very thin. This beer is watery to me, decent flavor, but not enough of it. Average at best. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Bottle; pours pale amber with slight haze, big frothy head produces plentiful lacing. Aroma is caramel, lightly of berries, honeydew melon, slightly grapefruity-citric, and with a hint of rye. Flavor begins with a slightly bitter and resinous tension but resolves into a citric-berries, buttery bread, and melon sweetness punctuated citric and floral hops. Also some brown sugar and coffee notes come through. Palate is slightly too effervescent. DrnkMcDermott (1851), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 24, 2009 12 oz. bottle, trade with Daknole. Light amber color, swirling bubbles lead to a rocky light head. Spicy smell that’s part hops and part rye. Bottle is best by 8/5/09, so hops may have started to fade. Sharp APA hop flavor, not a citrusy cascade/amarillo bomb, but more of a well-hopped Pils. Again, spicy accents added by rye. Hops become more assertive toward the end, in fact, the foam at the end is quite hoppy. Even though this bottle indicates it’s contracted to Flying Dog, this is a style that could become a nice Southern style beer. obxdude10 (1559), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 21, 2009 This beer pours a copper color with a decent off-white head. There is some nice sticky lacing left around the glass. The nose features grassy hops, earth, rye, bread, a touch of caramel malt and light citrus. The body is very drinkable and smooth. This pale ale would make for a great session beer. The body isn’t too heavy or overpowering. It’s just right for drinking and enjoying one after another. The flavors are very well-rounded and balanced, with notes of earth, pine, grapefruit, lots of floral hops, caramel malt, bread, a touch of rye and a slight hint of oranges. The finish is a little hoppy, dry and spicy, but again is balanced well with a bready and malty tone. This is definitely one enjoyable and delicious pale ale. daniele (1711), Italy
