Commercial Description:
Volume 6: Traditionally, the Scotch call this beer 90 shilling. At Terrapin, we know it as “90 Shelling.” Magnificently malty, this 90 Shelling Scotch Ale pays tribute to the full bodied ales of Scotland.

The appearance is deep brown with an average head. The aroma is both sweet and smokey with the smoke taking a back seat. There is also some hops. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth and full. Overall this is a great beer and one I want to have again.

Sweet malt, almost like a dubbel. Some home and lightly sweet malt. It doesn’t have a lot to it. Thin on the palate. Dry grain finish.

22oz. Bottle: Aroma of candi sugar, toasted caramel, and slight dark ripe fruit. Poured brown/beep amber in color with a small, dense, tan head that lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of malts, toasted caramel, smoke, Bamburg wood, slight vanilla, slight wood, slight peat, and figs. Medium body. Slick, then lightly dry texture. Soft to average carbonation. Malt, peat, and light caramel finish.
