| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Bottle shared with the guys at the Inglorious Emergency Tasting. Clear dark brown with dark red highlights and minimal ring of light tan head. Nose of earthy, slightest hint of smoke, roasty malt. Flavor is molassis, sweet raisins, and an earthy roastiness. Good scotch ale, that doesn’t have the typical dogfood quality. Another good side project. Savvy1982 (303), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2009 Bottle at Liquid Sunshine. Thanks to Cheersmate. Pours medium red-amber with a tan head, spotty lacing. A tight, toffeeish, very fruity example of the style. Solid, but not exceptional. biznizness (935), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2009 Good but not great scotch ale. Had this at Nick & Kims engagement party. Would probably go with a standby like Dirty Bastard, but this was still worth drinking. Pailhead (2593), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

Bottle: The aroma consists of chocolate, caramel, grapes, and roast. It pours a transparent mahogany with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a thin ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with chocolate and faint molasses. The finish has light grape notes with a hint of roastiness. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
