Pours a jet black with a nice mocha colored head that leaves nice thick lacing. Fresh aroma with hints of cocoa and a hint of candied fruit. Flavor has some good black dirt earthiness, a touch of day old coffee and some baker’s unsweetened chocolate. Mouthfeel is nice and chalky - like a porter should be. Rather enjoyed this one. Gets richer as it warms. Sharp and fizzy medium body. Taste is sour coffee, apple and bittersweet chocolate. Coffee beans to finish. A nice drinker. ObsceneOne (32), Tampa, Florida, USA

Light body with coffee and bitter coca on the pallet. A good beer but not their best. Beershine (2749), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Bottle shared by Daknole. Opaque dark brown, almost black with no head. Very dry cocoa aroma like a simple dry chocolate cake with some mild metallic notes. Nice palate with medium carbonation. Fairly light bodied, lighter than expected and simpler too. Good chocolate flavor and is not sweet but lacks oomph. daknole (3000), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Dark, dark brown pour. Barely any head at all. Aroma is a pure chocolate bomb. But the flavor is dry, roasty and a bit astringent. I was let down by the flavor big time. Not what I expected. Oakes (8108), gone rambling, Cambodia
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Dull looking dark brown with no head. Lots of cocoa in the nose, little else. Despite hints of syrupiness on the nose, it’s lighter on the palate. Dos Cocoas finishes just a touch syrupy with some cocoa notes. Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Pours black with reddish hues and a 2 finger tan head that leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is roasted malt and light cocoa. The taste is milk chocolate, powdered cocoa, roast and some light coffee/hops in the finish. Light-to-medium bodied. Decent. Thanks Jason! Skyview (4061), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 2, 2009 Picked up a single 22-oz bomber via trade with KieferUGA. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with a thick and lumpy tan head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of mostly powdered baking chocolate with some toasted dark malt, a hint of coffee and some molasses. Taste continues the chocolate presence medium bodied with additional flavors of toasted dark malt, some molasses, roasted nuts and caramel. Finish is semi-sweet with a short lived chocolate aftertaste that even goes down smooth. NIcely done.
