Commercial Description:
The Terrapin ""Dos Cocoas"" gets its name from the deep history of chocolate and the two forms of Ecuadorian cocoa we use in this exceptional beer. Brewed with 100% cocoa powder, and aged on a bed of pure cocoa nibs, the chocolate flavor in this beer is so mouth watering it will even make Wonka jealous.

22oz bottle from Five Points Bottle Shop (Athens, GA). Pours a dark brown to black color with a one finger tan head that settles slowly. Aroma is malty and slightly sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, nuts, some hints of caramel and toffee. Flavor is roasted and malty with notes of dark ripe fruit, chocolate, coffee, caramel, roasted malt. Generally light to medium body with a roasted malt finish. Seemed a little thin for the style.

Pours a dark brown/black that allows light. The head is one finger thick cream tan. The nose is earthy, sweet, sweet chocolate, less bitter chocolate, malty, English feel, little roast. The flavor is mild and roasty, chocolate, sweet, no bitterness or roast, tastes English with sweet chocolate. Smooth on the palate with no bitterness.

Not impressed at all. Expecting something a lot bigger and bolder. Very light on the palate.

Draft @ Redlight Redlight. Dark red-brown. Theres alot of chocolate in this one, aroma and flavor. A bit light bodied, with an easy finish. A touch one-dimensional on the whole.
