Not a BW as stated, but rather a wierd hopped up hefe of sorts. Pours a straw color w/ a big white head banannas dominate the aroma w/ some light wheat and sweet candied sugars and breads. Avg pal. Super sweet bread & sugar flavor coated bananna taste, lightly spiced, too sweet but pretty good.

Pours a mostly hazy orange with a small bubbly off white head that went away to nothing quickly. Aroma of dark fruits, lots of honey, some citrus and lightly floral hop notes and a little malt sweetness poking through. Flavor of this kind of sticky honey, banana, dark fruits, some hop flavor and bitterness poking through. The honey is coming through a bit too much. Not one of the top beers from Terrapin, they make better beers.

pours deep gold almost honey color with hardly any head. aroma is screaming banana with a hint of alcohol. almost like a banana foster. the mouthful departs strongly from the aroma with citrus and some honey notes. very interesting, not sure i would consider it in the barley wine catagory???

Drank in the bottle. Golden, not much head. Strong banana and citrus aroma. Very nice, though lacking in the complexity of other beers. Excelelnt choice when choosing an excellent beer without wanting anything complex.

Strong banana aroma. Cloudy golden, headless. Full mouthfeel. Immense flavor of banana. Honey and hard candy notes are also present. Light honey finish. Alcohol content is evident but downplayed. Not very complex, no spice, clove, or otherwise, detected. Not especially good when warm, This is great for people who appreciate both barleywines and weizens. A solid weizen bock if not for the higher alcohol content. Lacks the bittering to be a barleywine. I’d actually prefer to call it an american strong ale.

(bottle) Hazy orange beer with almost no head. Very aromatic: sweet floral honey, slight burning alcohol, wheat and mild spices. Flavor is sweet with some burnt sugar and very floral, alcohol is warming but not overwhelming. Characteristic clove and banana are present, too. Medium bodied, soft carbonation.

Hazy bright orange with a thin white ring of a head. Looks thick. Smells like honey and alcohol. Burns the nose a bit. Flavor is one-dimensional, honey. It is very sweet and the palate is kind of slimy and odd. Too heavy on the honey for my tastes.
