| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 29, 2009 Cloudy orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma is of honey with some sweet maltiness in the background. Flavor is like a weizenbock, lots of bubblegum and wheat up front. Some honey creeps into the middle. Finish is a bit sweet with lingering honey and massive alcohol heat. They managed to keep some of the honey flavor in a very extreme brew, which is good. Terrapin ought to make a real mead, that would be a side project with an exclamation point!!! Terrapin, are you listening?? This could have been soooo much better! Honey "wines" are so hard to pull off when a mead is right there staring you in the face!! hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

The aroma is of Brazilian pepper honey, vanilla, an unidentified spice and just a whisper of acidity. Medium to full-bodied with a slick mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. Well-balanced with moderate unpleasant tartness and very mild honey sweetness. Bone-dry finish. Bottle provided by craftbeerdesign! RCL (1480), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2009 Pours a medium copper with little, rapidly disappearing head. Aroma is a bit mead like, notes of unripe pear. Flavor is very lightly tart and lightly sweet with a very well integrated high abv. The thick mouthfeel is the only hint that this is over 10%.
