Big wheat presence in the aroma. This really smells like an amped up hefeweizen, with a bunch of tart wheat, clove, bubblegum, and a lot of banana as well. Other aromas include honey along with some alcohol too. The aroma gets sweeter and boozier as this warms up a bit. The taste is just like the aroma, with a lot of banana, honey, wheat, clove, yeast, and a substantial amount of alcohol. Some baked bread showing up on the finish. Mouthfeel is thick and carbonation is smooth. This is quite an interesting hefe, mead, wheat wine combination. Thanks again Ken!

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 11, 2009 12oz bottle brought back with me from my trip to Philly. Pours a cloudy, deeper orange colored body with a gold tint. Thin, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves just a light swirl of lacing around the edge of the glass. Very thick looking and dead. Aroma has lots of honey and clove with some wheat, citrus, and bubble-gum. Some banana, orange peel, and a hint of hefe yeast. Flavor is very thick, syrupy, and sticky. Extremely sweet and malty with lots of honey sweetness. A good amount of clove spice and wheat with more of that banana, hefe yeast, bubble-gum flavor. Some citrusy orange before this finishes way too sweet with a malty, bubble-gum, syrupy aftertaste. Overall, too sweet, sticky, syrupy, and thick. Its not unpalatable, but this is a huge mess. darn1207 (577), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Aroma of sticky hard candy ,ah wait a minute that didn’t sound right does it. Wheat in aroma and some leather. Hazy orange body with small off white head. Flavor had a laquer of honey in it. Also some wheat, bubble gum some kind of mago twang. That honey along with alcohol was different. Very intriging brew. Thanks Ogden. FlssmrBrewAlum (1158), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2009 My final Side Project in the cellar, hopefully grabbing 2 more soon. This likely came from Beerlando. Thanks, Bryan! Pours a fiery orange tinged gold, a moderate haze, well carbonated, a small offwhite head that dies to a very tiny film, just around the edges. Aromas are potent, citrus and fruity esters, orange marmalade, banana, some spices, honey and flaked wheat malt sweetness tempered by a mellow soothing feel. A touch of yeastiness. Initial is heavier side of medium bodied, thicker, with banana and orange, a touch of coriander, flaked white wheat, honey sweetens the whole ordeal, almost with a light honey cough drop feel, the stronger ABV gives it a slight medicinal quality, but it doesn’t detract. Warming, but not too boozy. Really quite fruity, banana and orange with some light pear in there. Finishes clean, light bitterness and a decent fruitiness that sticks to the palate. This really isn’t bad for a "wheat wine" style beer, it goes down easy, isn’t real boozy, and is sweeter but not in a bad way. Cereal grains, wheat, honey, and assertive fruity esters. It is nice. ditmier (1100), Boise, Idaho, USA
