Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma with a lot of hops, but not overpowering. Taste is nice and malty with a citrus dry bitterness. Much more balanced than some other Terrapin offerings, solid. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 4, 2008 Bottle; for the second time today, courtesy of KieferUGA. Poured a clear, light amber/orange color with a medium to big white head. Aroma was a nice balance of chewy caramel and biscuit malt and hops; pine and citrus/lemon. Flavor was, despite the description, well balanced and not too much of a hop bomb. Good tasting hops; lemon, citrus and pine. Biscuit like backbone worked well. Above average example of the style. pijiuduzi (8), Beijing, China does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 4, 2008 Mmmmmmmm...mmmmmmmmmm... Delicious! What a genius idea...instead of making a bunch of beer with half assed hops, whynot put them all into to one amazing beer! andyhite (293), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 1, 2008 22 oz bomber. heavy aromas of pine sap wild grasses and over-ripened grapefruit rind; also - orange cream. the appearance is a toasted orange with a creamy head. the taste is a slightly bitter ale tasting of light dry hoppage and subtle spice and strong lingering bitterness on the finish. also, a slightly saltier palate with unsweetened pine bark...it’s a great concept brew by the guys in athens. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Pours a light golden amber, forming small white foamy head from bomber. Aroma of hops, slight citrus, and wet forrest. Flavour was of soft pine resins, hops, bitter malts and ocean water froth. Rather light in character for an IPA, but very enjoyable. Other than it being a one run batch, really not that spectacular when compared to others, however it is still pretty good beer. gotohelunc (476), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Updated: Jul 12, 2008Bottle. Copper color, slight hazy with a nice big white head. Smells like hops. Tastes like hops. Not a whole lot of balance to even out the hoppiness, but since the flavor isn’t overpoweringly strong, the finish was crisp, and I enjoy me some hops, this one isn’t bad at all. The description on the bottle is quite accurate, so I got what I was expecting. gunhaver (1044), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Bottle. Pours a tea-colored copper color, with a thick stack of pillowy white head. Very sticky lacing. Big pine in the nose, and malts cut through the hoppy haze, with oily citrus. Hops hit the tongue up front, but mostly subdued as a whole. Not in a bad way, since they balance well with the grainy malt. Surprisingly balanced, and has a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Overall, not the hop bomb I expected, but still quite enjoyable.
