| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 21, 2008 Pours a nice frothy head. Nice golden hue. Typical piney/citrus aroma, but not overwhelming. Refreshing flavour with much of the caramel malt coming through mid-palate. Some decent balance here, but towards the end a bit more malt heavy than I would’ve liked. Overall, nicely done - but, I think they would’ve been better served to not have built up expectations of this being a "hop bomb". wilkie (1193), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber-copper, semi-hazy, medium off-white head. Very hoppy nose, with citrus, pine, soap, and a detectable amount of caramel. Flavor is similar, with alcohol burn. Delicious beer. iowaherkeye (1884), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 15, 2008 22oz bottle, no date--big thanks to Matt (TheBeerCellar) for giving me this! Clear light orange with a short-lived yellow white head. Sweaty citrusy Cascades up front with a clean sweet caramel malt background. Fairly basic so far. Flavor added a bit more of an sweet orange and pine hop characteristic that made it less one dimensional than the aroma. Still has some caramel and a bit of a cotton candy sweetness going on. Bitterness peaked around a 4 in the semi-dry finish and lingered. Medium body with low creamy carbonation. I had this a month ago at a tasting, and I think I scored this a fair amount lower. Maybe this one was simply kept in better conditions? Thanks again, Matt. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Bottle. Hazy copper in color with a medium sized beige head. Hoppy, grassy floral aroma with some citrusy notes. Malty piney citrusy flavor. Caramel notes. Medium bodied. Nice hop bitterness. Well balanced. Nice beer. 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 13, 2008 Pours a hazy light copper with a modest eggshell head. Laces in some thick bubbly chunks. Fruit cocktail aromas with a smidge of pine overtones. Flavors give a piney oily flair with some pleasing citrus and finally a prickly bitterness. Hop bomb? Meh. It’s a good tasty IPA, but don’t hype me into a "hop bomb" then only bring out a pedestrian IPA. 00cobraR (1102), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 12, 2008 I thought this was a solid IPA. Pours a coppery color with a decent beige head. Aroma was hoppy, grassy, with some citrus notes to it. Flavor was much the same with a pleasing resin finish to it. A little disappointed in the huge hop bomb discription as i thought this would have been an IIPA, but alas it wasnt. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA
