Pours a cloudy, glowing, golden-amber hue with a small, quickly fading head of ivory colored foam. Settling to a thin film, the head leaves a sudsy, micro-spot wash to drip down the glass. The aroma shows a base of lightly candied blonde malt, fresh cereal grain, and banana bread, with complimentary notes of lemongrass and orange peel lending spice. Flavors follow suit, delicate grain malt and candied citrus rind showing mildly sweet, with balancing notes of dry grass, coriander, and white pepper. Medium bodied and smooth, the palate is sufficiently dry and zesty, with a nice tingle on the finish. Tasty and refreshing, it’s a solid saison. nearbeer (1871), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2009 Bomber. Hazy topaz with a lasting quarter inch of creamy bubbles. Aroma of spicy caramel-coated banana, bread yeast, grape-lemon hard candy, resin and light black pepper. Flavor is tart-sweet white grape, resiny green herb, lightly zesty lemon bread, and banana hard candy. Finish is just enough wood and pith to dry things a bit. Near-medium body is smoothish with some light spicy tingle and astringency. curly (739), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 28, 2009 Bomber pours clear nearly pale gold with 30 second white head. The modest aroma has various subtleties like spice, honey, lemon and a meadow of tall dry grass and flowers. The taste begins with a bit of spice then apple, honey and ginger. Midway some floral notes begin to mingle with some rye and wheat. It ends with spice, grains and wheat coating my mouth. nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow. Thin head with light lacing. Notes of grass, fruit, herbs and a lite note of spice. Light body and a mildly dry finish. Nothing spectacular, but pretty easy drinking. merlin48 (520), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Bomber pours a hazy straw yellow body with a small tight offwhite head. Spiderweb lacing is left behind on the glass. Aroma is fruity, herbal, yeasty, and rustic. Light medium body supports a dominant dryness that is enlivened by a complex and enjoyable character. Herbal hops, some grassiness, light herbs of coriander, basil, and white pepper, and a tasty fruitiness. Strawberries, kiwi, ripe pears, and lemons all add a pleasant complexity. Yeastiness and breadiness present, but subtle. Finishes dry, with a tart berry note. Much better than I expected. Wish I had a few more bottles of this one. Suttree (2743), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 26, 2009 Clody, bubbly, smallish, loose head. The Bride declared this was "packed with yumminess", and I tend to agree. Nicely spicy and herbal, dry wine and woddsy, and a little bit of bitterness. Very enjoyable.
