Aroma is spicy, with underlying yeast, hint of sweet bananas. Similar flavor, some pepper and other spices, some sweetness, not much in the way of bitterness. Lingering yeasty taste. Not a bad beer, if not exceptional either.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 19, 2009 Bomber, I think from jrob21, who deserves another boo-yah. Acrid, lightly spicy, lightly funky (socks), big citrus nose. Pale golden pour with light carbonation and a dense, creamy, lacing white head. Taste is sweet and spicy, dries out moderately. Medium body, rounded and smooth, gentle tang, no bitterness or alcohol. Reminds significantly of my first homebrewed saison, but that had more pepper from paradise seeds and benefited greatly. A little oily, nearly lactic feel toward the end here, and though the yeast is good, it’s not spectacular. Good work-a-day saison. hophead75 (1964), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2009 bomber. Hazy light orange in color with a medium white head, lingers. Aroma of citrus, banana, light phenols, a touch of plastic and herbs. Taste: light banana esters, some phenols, some mild grainy sweetness, honey, light plastic, earth- and light to moderately acidic. Light herbal hops. Soft to moderate bitterness in the finish. smith4498 (919), Miami, Florida, USA

Flavors of yeast and spices with a little fruit. Kind of bland. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Dickinsonbeer (3497), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Bomber. Pours a slightly hazy deep golden with a moderate white head. Aroma is phenolic, yeasty, dough, cracker, a bit harsh, green, grassy, slight apple and tang. Flavor has some lemon hints, yeast, dough, plastic phenols, saltspray, crackery malt is just slightly too much- herbal, grass, leather and a soft and slight acidic finish- ok but not great. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Cloudy light amber with very little head. Relatively low carbonation. Good stone fruit, very light hops. Drinkable. Quite pleasant, actually, but just not as interesting or exciting as most of their beers. FlssmrBrewAlum (1174), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2009 22 oz bottle courtesy of jdub. My 3rd Side Project, with 3 more remaining in the cellar. Pours a very hazy light gold, well carbonated, a soapy foamy head as a decent layer, stays as a small nice layer that laces ok. Aromas are a bit yeasty and grainy, some fruity esters underneath of pear and apple, but Belgian yeasts and a good graininess underneath, cereal, banana, lemon, orange. Initial is fruity, smooth vanilla, apple, pear, orange peel, with a touch of honey sweetness, cereal malts come on pretty big, a touch of dusty grassy and earthy hop bitterness on the backend. The bitterness really stays on the palate, not strong, but dominant over the grainy malts, slighty yeasty and dusty feel, and fruits which are subdued largely. Lemon comes in more, grassy and floral earthy hops. Interesting, drinkable, but not my favorite of the series. A bit unbalanced, but not typical, fairly bitter on the backend which is different. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Really nice looking beer. Golden, hazy pour. Very yeasty aroma, with lots of clove and banana. Very spicy flavor that kind of threw me off. This is the type of beer I should like, but I didn’t like this one.
