Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a nice cap of white head. The aroma picked up spicy, peppery yeast with pineapple upfront.. citrus meat and pale malts not far behind.. fine balance between the Belgian yeast and the hop kick. The flavor was quite sweet with light fruit and pale malts at the core.. grainy sugars stuck on the warm finish.. spicy yeast and pineapple bitterness again gave a complementary performance. Medium-bodied with moderate-+ carbonation.. spicy, tasty, and engaging! tronraner (1934), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Bottle at the ’09 Fish Fry. Pours golden with slight off-white head. The aroma is fruity hops, some lemon, coriander, bread, and quite a noticeable yeastiness. The flavor is yeast, orangey hops, peppery hints, and noticeable alcohol. Ok, but a little off-target I thought. HonkeyBra (1361), Lemont, Illinois, USA

Hazy, golden pour with a small head. Aroma is hops and bananas. A lot like chouffe double IPA trippel. Really nice and easy to drink. Really liked this one. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Bomber. Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a small white head, very little lacing. Aroma is a little estery with bananas and then a good amount of pine (slight resin) and citrus (grapefruit) hops. Flavor is abound with hops. There is a little bit of banana, some sweet malts, and finishes with citrus and resiny hop flavor. Mouthfeel has a tingle to it, pretty good body and a nice bitter finish. Overall a very good beer. Yet another solid Side Project from Terrapin, so far I would call this my favorite. TheBeerGod (3167), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Bottle. Amber pour to this with a very short white head. Nose is fruit and perfumy. Rather sweet as well with light orange notes. taste is strong orange, flowery and perfumy hops, sweet malts, candied fruit, light spice and yeast notes. Body is medium to medium-full with strong carbonation. Finishes with more orange and now some melon notes, more candied fruits, sweet malt, caramel, spices, and flowers. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Fresh bomber. Pours a crystal clear, dark golden amber hue. A foamy head of off white foam is quick to recede, leaving wet micro-spots of lacing scattered about the glass. The nose is heavy on bready, floral, Belgian style yeast, with blonde candy sugar, orange peel, banana esters, and white pepper. There’s an unfortunate, searing, alcoholic overtone to the aroma. Flavors are more like a tripel than a IIPA, very fruity and ethereal, with fresh floral notes, saccharine candy sugar, citrus hops, and overbearing alcohol. A little thin on the palate, with balanced carbonation, the finish is overly hot. Not my kind of brew, as there are very few tripels that I’m a big fan of. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Pours deep gold with copper core and a bit of haze as well as a white head. The aroma I get is banana, clove and a bit of bubble gum to go along with floral hops and faint grapefruit. The initial pulse of flavor comes from a dash of tart lemon and grapefruit before banana, cloves and a sense of pepper fill in behind. I also get a vague sugar sweetness by midway and more mild banana, bubble gum, yeast and floral hops into the finish. douglas88 (1659), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Bomber. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet Belgian yeast and citrus hops. Light spices and malts in the nose as well. The taste was more like a Belgian Ale to me; sweet spices, yeast, bananas, sweet malts and some citrus hops. A light bitterness in the finish. A light alcohol presence. Smooth and pretty good.
