Commercial Description:
Volume 5: This new age beer style is a fusion of two great brewing traditions that are worlds apart - a hoppy American Double IPA and a classic Belgian Tripel. Beware the Gnome in the funny green hat!

this beer has a hard citrus hoppy flavor in both aroma and taste. smooth with a medium carbonation build. malty but the citrus hops is where the aggressive lies.

The aroma is exactly as advertised it’s somewhere between a belgian and an IPA. It has lots of piny, citrusy hops as well as a fruity yeast and sweet malt. The appearance is golden with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma with plenty of alcohol and a touch of cough syrup. The palate is average with a pineapple-grapefruit finish. Overall this is a good beer.

Bottle shared by Butters. Poured a hazy pale with a thin off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma with a clove background. The flavor found some fruits, clove and a hoppy background. The aroma was more like an IPA and the flavor more like a Triple. Medium body. Interesting!

On draft at Trappeze in Athens, GA. Pours thick with a hazy golden color. Aroma of a bread basket with citrus flavors and citrus hop flavors, both are distinct. Thick and smooth mouthfeel with flavors of citrus fruits, yeast and a nice bit of hops in the finish. My favorite of the Side Projects since the drinkable Roggenrauch.

Sweet, hoppy complex, fancy. A very well executed marriage of two styles. I’m a little disappointed to see such a low rating.

Hazy bright orange pour with a fluffy white head. Yeast and light hops on the nose. Citrus, tropical fruits and yeast. A little tannic and slightly alcoholic at times

Draft at the 7th ann party. Reminiscent of stones cali-belgique. Nice, but I’m not a huge fan of the style.

On tap @ Datz..I love this beer! so much better than the other side projects. It taste exactly how it sounds Belgian funk with lots of hops. It doesn’t have the typical Belgian head that you would expect. Hop Heads like myself will love it.
