Commercial Description:
Volume 5: This new age beer style is a fusion of two great brewing traditions that are worlds apart - a hoppy American Double IPA and a classic Belgian Tripel. Beware the Gnome in the funny green hat!

Bottle and Liquid Sunshine VI. Thanks bitbucket! Good Belgian aroma & stemy hop aroma. Fair, no double though. Very tasty still.

Bomber. Pours rich golden color, thin white head. Nose is very mild, aroma of hops. Flavor is interesting, but not the best balanced. Big hoppy presence up front (floral grapefruit). Followed by sweetness of bright fruits (not my favorite fruit flavor..peaches, apricots, etc...verges on cloying), and a touch of spice. Lingering aftertaste is slightly bitter, slightly soapy, and alcohol. Not a fan, but probably expected since I’m not a huge fan of either IPAs or Tripels.

Pours clear orange color with white head. Doughy Belgian yeast aroma with a light amount of grapefruit. Alot less hop aroma than expected for a DIPA. Sweet and doughy flavorwith some pepper and piney hops. Slight alcohol burn and somewhat medicinal. Medium body with average carbonation.

old note, pint at Tyler’s Apex. Good aroma, sweet, fruity, orange, tangerine, apple. Tad hazed, golden orange color. No head or lace. Bittersweet flavor, nothing like the aroma, cardboard, stale grainy, little banana. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel, sweet dryish finish. Eh, just didn’t come together for me. Aroma was nice, but flavor just didn’t come together for me, each flavor seemed to be off it’s own place. oh well.....
